I didn't go see the Hawks play, I don't make enough money to go see them. But we have been to a couple minor league ball games.

We actually currently have no rain in the forecast for the next few days. A rare few days it shall be if that holds true.

yes it will be....sister says that illinois managed to make the all time wettest june on record (and the 4th highest precip total for all months)...and california is ...having another drought. (think most of us would willing send them the over flowing streams of water to them).

as I am not a sports fan I had no idea what the tickets were going for (nor would I have gone even if I had tickets.....though my husband oldest brother would have, if he were still alive, guess he is celebrating in the here-after).

and will thoroughly enjoy a few days without rain (for a change)...though the cool temps were quite nice (no complaints there).

Really darn wet here. Even though we weren't supposed to get any rain I got sprinkled on during my morning run... The rain just loves us here.

Baseball, not a huge fan of baseball but it is fun to go to the ballpark to catch a game.

Flooding seems to be everywhere. We are constantly under a flood warning...

We got a sudden storm again here as well. Looked pretty clear, got out to try and do some yard work, get things going and then it quickly gets dark and then WHOOSH. Sky is falling.

Put everything up.

Then it stopped like 15 mins later. Ugh.

I think they stopped warning here. My phone says "The same thing that has been happening for the past forever" and I just know it's another flood.

Meanwhile a friend in England said they are having a heatwave at 95 (LOL), and too much sun.

well, it was a nice weekend, no rain here (hallelujah!) got to see the fireworks....and the bugs bit my hubby instead of me (he did not put enough bug away on---I know better).

Malice does that. I don't expect him back for at least another 2 months!

No rain for a while now, which has been great. Hasn't been to hot either. Which is also a plus. Though we are supposed to get some storms tonight, which kinda sucks... But it is also going to cool it down since today we are supposed to be approaching 90 degrees. Bit warmer than it has been.

Hope you all had a great time enjoying our independence! I was super busy all weekend. At least I think it was a weekend... Not really sure since I was running around so much...

Rain is better than drought but it sure keeps going. Random down pour twice today. Like the sky was falling. Out of nowhere. Crazy stuff.

I lived in drought places (idaho) and in humid places (japan, midwest, florida)...think I liked the dry places better....though the trees are very green here, the grass is tall...the swamps are full and the mosquitoes are....er, abundant

ah well...cant win 'em all.

BUT it is nice and cool here today...had the balcony door open (until the starting mowing the grass ---my allergy to grass wont allow that)....not going to complain about the rain when the temps are sooooooooooo nice.

Rain stayed south of us today. We did get rained on yesterday though.

Amazon is always open! Though I don't know how I would feel getting my groceries from there...

But... Amazon you can't go and look at stuff and see if you like it for sure. Personally just enjoy going shopping late at night. I do get stuff from Amazon often, but not as much since their prices have mostly shot up.

I like to pick things up and look at them too...cant do that with online shopping, also shopping online doesnt give the 'instant gratification' factor. You have to wait days (weeks) to get your item and then its just not the same thing

Grocery shopping at 1am is the best--I can still remember one time (many years ago) when my sister and hubby and I went shopping then---we were so goofy, we laughed so hard we were crying, if other shoppers had been there we would have gotten some really strange looks (only hubby was doing that--and that is normal for him

)....as it was the place was empty so we were able to laugh until we had to go down separate aisles so we could stop crying. Just cant do that with amazon!

haha so true! Have done that many times as well. It can be more relaxing as well. You can sit and look at whatever and not have to worry about getting out of the way of 50 people on the same aisle. Usually don't have to wait for a checker, and I've had some fun conversations with them since there is no rush.... I've caught some of the deals before because they are marking stuff down as well. Good times

Have Amazon Prime so two days for most stuff, but still, walking out with your item is the best

yep, used to work that shift there as well (2nd job for a time....)....though there were a few folks that I was not really happy about being in the same store at the same time---

had a real fast moving group of storms move though last night, thought a tree would come down from all the wind.

cant believe its almost the middle of july already---today is patrick stewart's (and harrison ford!) birthday.
